Organised by our friends at Good Connections, Two Rivers Travel set off on a memorable eight-day guided coach tour of the Highlands of Scotland starting from Reading, Berkshire on May 10th 2008.

At Two Rivers Travel we try to make our longer coach journeys as relaxing and stress-free as possible. On this occasion we enjoyed an overnight stop at Shap Wells before moving on to our Scottish base at the very comfortable Ben Wyvis Hotel in Strathpeffer.

This superb Good Connections tour featured a boat trip on Loch Ness along with visits to Cromarty, Falls of Shin, Dingwall, Dornoch and Inverness. As with any trip to the Highlands of Scotland, there were plenty of stunning views of forests, lochs and snow-capped mountains.

Here are pictures of Inverness and the Falls of Shin, and also a shot of the Two Rivers Travel coach at Dornoch.

Our first Two Rivers Travel Day Out of 2008 was from Reading, Berkshire to Gosport - an historic naval town on the Hampshire coast with a market held in the pedestrianised high street.

Arriving at Gosport on a bracing - but bright - March day, our passengers set off to explore town and market, and everyone came back smiling. The power of retail therapy!

Here’s a view of nearby Portsmouth taken from the front at Gosport, plus a photo of Y14 HMC on its first day in public service sporting Two Rivers Travel red and yellow livery. The striking colours certainly turned a few heads!
