Day out from Reading – the Two Rivers Travel Dawn Chorus Explorer
Posted on April 1st, 2009 in Days Out.
At Two Rivers Travel we are always looking to offer our customers something a little different, and on Sunday 29th March 2009 we set out from Reading, Berkshire on our very first Dawn Chorus Explorer.
The onset of British Summer Time made the early start even earlier, but fortunately our loyal passengers were all waiting at their pick-up points and ready to enjoy the delights of the awakening English countryside.
As the morning light became brighter we stopped to serve tea and biscuits and at last, peeping through the clouds, came the first sunrise of British Summer Time. Only one thing was missing – the dawn chorus!
We were made very welcome at our breakfast stop at the Hilltop Cafe in Firsdown, with Winchester Farmer’s Market our final stop before heading home.
Here’s the Two Rivers Travel coach at Froxfield, Wiltshire as British Summer Time begins.

Two Rivers Travel braves the February snow
Posted on March 1st, 2009 in Coach Trips.
Two Rivers Travel braved the February snow when we operated a Good Connections holiday to Holme Lacy in Herefordshire.
The holiday started in a severe blizzard at 7am on Monday 2nd February with tricky road conditions, but with careful driving and flexibility over the itinerary we were able complete the tour without incident, ensuring all our customers had an enjoyable break – despite the weather!
Here’s a few shots of the dramatic conditions plus coach, driver and customers braving the elements.
