Day Out from Reading, Berkshire to Hythe and Lyndhurst
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008Our April 2008 coach trip from Reading, Berkshire to Hythe and Lyndhurst in Hampshire was blessed with fine weather and hazy sunshine.
A compact waterfront town, Hythe has attractive buildings and pedestrianised main streets. The market is held next to the church yard and is just a short walk from The Strand.
Here’s a view of the town centre, plus a shot of Queen Mary II in Southampton Docks taken from Hythe waterfront.
An early lunch allowed us to take a leisurely drive through the New Forest via Beaulieu and Lymington - enjoying the glorious Spring colours on the way - before spending the afternoon at Lyndhurst.
