Day Out from Reading, Berkshire to Gosport Market
Posted on March 23rd, 2008 in Days Out.
Our first Two Rivers Travel Day Out of 2008 was from Reading, Berkshire to Gosport - an historic naval town on the Hampshire coast with a market held in the pedestrianised high street.
Arriving at Gosport on a bracing - but bright - March day, our passengers set off to explore town and market, and everyone came back smiling. The power of retail therapy!
Here’s a view of nearby Portsmouth taken from the front at Gosport, plus a photo of Y14 HMC on its first day in public service sporting Two Rivers Travel red and yellow livery. The striking colours certainly turned a few heads!

Two Rivers Travel unveils red and yellow coach livery

Here’s a sneak preview of coach Y14 HMC, fresh from the paint shop, and resplendent in Two Rivers Travel red and yellow livery.
This 49-seater vehicle offers air-conditioning, WC & servery, continental door, generous legroom, good all-round vision for touring, plenty of luggage capacity for holidays, and - most important – a comfortable ride.
Available for private hire, the coach also features 3-point seat belts (very popular with passengers), is London Emission Zone compliant and complies with European requirements for motorway cruising.
The vehicle returns to service on Tuesday 18 March 2008 for the Two Rivers Travel Day Out from Reading to Gosport Market and Whiteley Village.
So if you live in Reading, Woodley, Shinfield, Tilehurst or Calcot … look out for a gleaming red coach!
